Suzuki Swift presentation |
The Suzuki Swift is a small car, build mainly by Suzuki, but can also be found under different names in different countries. The production of the Suzuki Swift begun in the 1985, but had the name SA-310 in the beggining. One year later, the car was renamed to the present name, Suzuki Swift.
The current version of the Suzuki Swift is the MK4, and was launched in 2004 at the Paris Auto Show that year. Somewhat similar in design with the legendary british Mini, the Suzuki Swift has competitors like the Peugeot 206 and 207, Opel Corsa, Ford Fiesta and Fiat Punto (not sure the Grande Punto qualifies to compete with the Suzuki Swift due to its bigger size).
With the 4 out of 5 stars rating given by the AutoCar british magazine and the 4/5 stars received from EuroNCAP, the Suzuki Swift seems to have a nice career ahead. Its got two engines, both petrol, a 1.3L and a 1.5L.
The Suzuki Swift is made in more then one country, being somewhat of a worldwide vehicle for Suzuki. Its made in factories from Hungary, India, China and Japan.
Much more about the Suzuki Swift in the coming weeks.
